Linking the traditional with the modern, the Frankfurt exhibition grounds offer every imaginable facility for many different event and trade fair concepts.
578,000 sqm, 321,700 sqm of which in the exhibition halls and another 83,000 sqm in the open air, is the area covered by the third largest trade fair complex in the world.
The Messe Frankfurt corporate group, one of the world's leading exhibition corporations, organizes more than 100 trade fairs worldwide and is one of the few global players in the trade fair sector. The basis for its success are a portfolio of showcase events, the third largest exhibition complex in the world and an extensive network of subsidiaries, branch offices and International Sales Partners.
The Cargo Center is the new logistics hub on the Frankfurt exhibition grounds. Thanks to its central location, close proximity and deliveries tailored to the requirements of exhibition logistics, this center provides for the accelerated transport of goods to and from the exhibition halls. It houses storage facilities, an order picking area, goods receipt and a loading ramp.
In 2008, Messe Frankfurt served as the direct contact partner and contractor for all logistics services on its exhibition grounds. Thanks to central planning and scheduling, the modern new logistics concept will permit the optimization of resources and reduction in waiting times. A volume-based rate structure offers attractive terms and charges, while the elimination of night surcharges provides an additional incentive for taking advantage of the more relaxed working conditions during the night. If a service is ordered in advance, administrative expenses are waived, as are the costs for transporting forklifts to and from the premises, thanks to the ability to more efficiently plan resources.
